VIFA Convenes First-Ever Annual General Meeting

On 12th December 2025, VIFA held its first Annual General Meeting (AGM)—a pivotal moment of reflection, recognition, and renewal. The AGM, hosted virtually and in-person at Queen Mary University London, brought together over 180 members to review the association’s inaugural year and chart its course for 2026.

Chaired by VIFA’s Executive Board, the event featured detailed reports on activities, member engagement, partnerships, and financial sustainability. Highlights included the successful delivery of four flagship events, the establishment of the Education Committee, the launch of the Digital Hub, and the onboarding of over 500 members from across the globe.

The AGM also featured leadership panels discussing trends such as cross-border remittance regulation, Vietnam’s rising fintech landscape, and UK market access strategies for Vietnamese startups. Members participated in live voting on strategic priorities for 2026—including expanding membership in Vietnam, introducing certification courses, and deepening UK institutional partnerships.

In an inspiring closing ceremony, outstanding contributors were honoured with the VIFA Recognition Awards, celebrating excellence in community building, academic leadership, and professional mentorship.
